SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
About the symbols:
The symbols appearing on this device have the following meanings.
CAUTION
Risk of electric shock.
Do not open unit console.
CAUTION:
To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove the UDMR
panels or cover. The UDMR does not contain any parts which can be
repaired or replaced by the customer.
For all repairs, please contact the store where you purchased the UDMR
or the nearest USHIO head office, branch or sales office listed on the back
of this manual.
This symbol indicates the risk of electrical shock due to high
voltage from uninsulated components inside the UDMR.
This symbol is used in manuals etc. in conjunction with
general cautions, warnings and hazards.

WARNING
Indicates the risk of serious
injury or death to the operator
in the case of improper
handling or use of the UDMR.
CAUTION
Indicates the risk of injury to
the operator or damage to
property in the case of
improper handling or use of
the UDMR.
* 'Damage to property' refers
to incidental damage to
structures, household
property, pets and/or
livestock.
Symbol examples
The equilateral triangle symbol (
) represents caution
(including hazards and warnings).
The specific details of the caution are indicated by the
graphical illustration appearing within the
symbol.
The symbol on the left is used to indicate general cautions,
warnings and hazards.
Indicates actions which are prohibited.
The specific details of the prohibited action are indicated by
the graphical illustration appearing within the
symbol.
The symbol on the left is used to indicate that disassembly
of the UDMR is prohibited.
Indicates actions which must be performed (compulsory).
The specific details of the compulsory action are indicated
by the graphical illustration appearing within the
symbol.
The symbol on the left is used to indicate that the power
plug must be disconnected.

Carefully read the following instructions and the
Owner's Manual before using the UDMR.
Do not disassemble or modify this device.
Do not, under any circumstances, attempt any
repairs or component replacements not listed in the
Owner's Manual. Always contact the store where you
purchased the UDMR or the nearest USHIO head office, branch
or sales office listed on the back of this manual.
Do not set up the UDMR in the following areas.
Areas subject to very high temperatures
(such as those exposed to direct sunlight; in
the vicinity of heating appliances or on top of
heat-emitting equipment)
Areas close to sources of moisture (such as
baths, washbasins or wet floors) or locations
with high humidity
Areas subject to contact with steam or smoke
Areas subject to potential salt damage
Areas exposed to rainfall
Areas exposed to abundant dust or sand
Areas exposed to considerable vibration or
shaking
Do not set up the UDMR on an unstable or
inclined surface. Make sure that the UDMR is
set up on a stable, flat surface.
The UDMR must only be connected to a 100V
AC power supply.
