Three-phase, four-module electricity meter
Description of the SIMLIC LS-3 meter
series
The SIMLIC LS-3 series are three-phase, four-module electricity meters with an LCD display.
They can be used for measurements in commercial and industrial applications. Depending on
your needs, you can choose from three product models.
LS-3F
- measurement and indication of active energy (kWh) and power (W), the meter
indicates total energy consumption and consumption over time (RESET function)
LS-3FD
- measurement and indication of active energy (kWh)
LS-3FB
-measurement and indication of active energy (kWh) consumed and exported
(import/export) and power (W). It can be used to measure renewable energy. RESET function
(measurement in a selected time)
The RESET button located on the front of the LS-3F and LS-3FB meter performs two functions:
- short pressing switches the particular views on the display,
- pressing and holding for approx. 3 seconds resets the partial energy measurement. The meters
are equipped with an additional pulse output, which makes it possible to connect the meter.

Information for your safety
SIMLIC LS-3 series electricity meters are used to measure the electricity consumption in
three-phase networks to which they should be connected by a qualified electrician in
accordance with the applicable standards, after reading this manual. Before starting the
installation, check whether the connection cables are live. Make sure that the meter is not
damaged, deformed or any elements are missing. Consult the manufacturer in case of
malfunction.
Correct use of the SIMLIC LS-3 series meter
The basic factors necessary to ensure the proper operation of the device is proper transport,
storage, installation and its connection. Do not forget about proper operation and ensuring the
proper condition of the device during its operation. During operation of the device, its
components may be under voltage dangerous to human health. You must be particularly
careful.
use only insulated tools to operate the device,
installation works should be carried out with the voltage off,
the place for installation should be dry,
the product should not be installed in potentially explosive areas or where it will be
exposed to dust, mould or insects,
make sure that the connecting cables are able to carry the maximum currents for a
given meter,
before starting the meter, make sure that the power cables are correctly connected
to the meter terminals,
touching the meter's connection terminals with bare hands, metal objects,
uninsulated wire or other conductive objects creates a risk of electric shock,
after installation, it is absolutely necessary to put on the terminal covers (protective
covers),
installation, inspections, optional repairs should be carried out by persons with
appropriate qualifications,
unauthorised persons, without proper qualifications, should never remove the
protective covers or interfere with the meter components,
the meter should be protected against falls and mechanical shocks, precise
elements inside the device may be damaged, which will result in lack of accuracy of
the measurements.
The crossed-out bin symbol on your device indicates that the product marked with it must not be
disposed of with household waste. After use, return the product to a collection point for electrical
and electronic equipment or return it to your dealer. It is the responsibility of the user to return
the device to the appropriate collection point or to the dealer when it is no longer used.
Appropriate segregation of waste for post-treatment, recovery or destruction contributes to
avoid negative environmental and health impacts and enables the recovery of the raw materials
from which the product is made. For more detailed information on available collection points,
please contact your local cleaning service or the shop where you have purchased the product.
