Commander i+ Product Service Manual - Issue 2

Symptom

Likely Causes

AFU is not connected to system bus.

•

Check 6-wire bus cord, bus wiring and
termination.

Analog station connected to AFU selects a
line after dialling 0 but the line is noisy.

Two AFUs in the system initialised with the
same AFU number (eg “1”).

•

Re-initialise the second AFU and reassign
the AFU number to 2.

AFU LED lights steadily, but no dial tone
present on the analog station connected.

Number of AFU ports specified in Install
menu (02i No. AFU ports) is less than actual
number of ports wired. For example: Number
of AFU ports is set to 2 while 2 AFUs are
connected (should be set to 4 ports).

•

Check the system programming 02i No.
AFU ports.

Master Station Replacement

MOH Card

If the master station is to be replaced then ensure that any music-on-
hold daughter boards installed in the master stations are removed and
then re-inserted into the replacement master station.

The presence of MOH cards can be tested in the Station Diagnostics
(19i) for that station.

AFU Initialisation

If master station number 1 is being replaced then the AFUs should be
fully re-initialised after the master station has been replaced. This
includes the power off / on sequence.
