OPERATION
k.) Clear Memory: To clear all programming, press the
‘D’
(Clear Memory) key from
the Set Defaults Menu. The display now prompts the operator to press
‘
YES’
to
clear the Master Time Programmer memory or
‘NO’
to exit without clearing the
memory.
WARNING: Answering
‘YES’
to this display clears all programming and
event data.
9.) Up/Download: The Up/Download feature permits the use of a remote computer for
uploading and downloading of event information and clock defaults. After pressing
‘9’
from the Main Menu, the operator is prompted through the following screens. The
display prompts the operator to press
‘1’
for Local operation or
‘2’
for Remote operation.
Local operation is used when the computer is attached directly to the clock. Remote
operation is used when the clock calls a remote computer over phone lines using a
MODEM.
Note:
The optional RS-232 Module (Cat. No. 1468A) must be installed in the clock and
the Upload/Download Software (Cat. No. 1470) must be installed on the remote
computer. Upload/Download will not allow the operator to change the date, time,
access code or the current schedule of operation of the Master Time
Programmer.
a.) Local Operation: To set Upload/Download for Local operation, press the
‘1’
(Local)
key. The display now tells the operator that the Master Time Programmer is
establishing a communication link and then that the remote computer has control.
All operations are now controlled by the remote computer.
