1464 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

For the Addition of 1464 Quad Auxiliary Circuit Module
Into 1460 / TC1260 Master Time Programmer
Ensure that all necessary parts for the 1464 module are included in the package.
Check items against the following parts list:

I.) ADDING 1464(s) TO 1460 or TC1260:
NOTE: If the 1460/TC1260 is already in use, remove AC power before proceeding with installation of the module(s).
CAUTION: Shock hazard inside Master Time Programmer. Remove all power before servicing.
1.) Open the door.
2.) If only one 1464 is to be installed, it should be installed in the left hand module position (see Installation Diagram
on page 2).
3.) Remove the 4 Keps nuts that match the mounting holes of the 1464 to be installed.
4.) Place the four 1-5/8" spacers provided on the exposed studs.
5.) Place the 1464 on the spacers with the terminals towards the bottom of the cabinet. Secure the board in place
with the nuts which were removed in step 3.
6.) Connect the cable between the header J3 on the main board and the header J1 on the 1464. WARNING: Make
sure the cable is seated correctly and proper polarity was observed. Improper installation may damage
the 1464 and/or the 1460/TC1260.
7.) If the second 1464 is to be installed, repeat steps 3-6 for the right hand module position. Connect the cable
between the header J4 on the main board and the header J1 on the 1464.
8.) It is recommended that AC power be temporarily applied to the unit so that the 1464 module(s) can be tested to
ensure proper operation by means of the 1460/TC1260 Diagnostics Routine or by manual activation of the
auxiliary circuits.
9.) Remove AC power.
10.) Connect all field wires and add new auxiliary circuit wiring as required.
11.) Close the door.
12.) Reconnect AC power.
