1460/61 INSTRUCTION MANUAL
OPERATION
1.) The Virtual ON/OFF/AUTO Switch
The
‘MANUAL ON’
,
‘MANUAL OFF’
, and
‘AUTOMATIC’
Function Keys work to-
gether. They perform the same function that the “ON/OFF/AUTO” switch performed
on many older Master Time Programmers. Thus, these three Function Keys are
sometimes referred to as the “virtual ON/OFF/AUTO switch.” A signal circuit can
only ever be in one of these three conditions at any given time. The default condi-
tion is “AUTOMATIC.”
The only feature that can override the virtual switch position of a signal circuit is All
Call. If the user does NOT want All Call to override the virtual switch position, then
the user must program that signal circuit to NOT be an “All Call” signal circuit. De-
tails on how to do this are covered later in this section of this manual.
An AC power loss will not change the status of a signal circuit in terms of one these
“switch positions.” For example, a signal circuit that is turned on “manually” when
an AC power loss occurs will still be on when AC power is restored.
a.) Manual On
The “MANUAL ON” function turns a signal circuit on. When this is done, the
signal circuit will remain on until the user changes it to “MANUAL OFF” or
“AUTOMATIC” status.
Pressing the
‘1’
key may or may not result in the display prompting for an access
code. If not, or once a correct access code is entered, the display prompts the
user to select the signal circuit to be turned on. The user must press the keys
corresponding to the signal circuits desired to be on, and then press
‘Enter’
.
Prompt to User to Enter the Signal Circuits to be Turned On “Manually”
b.) Manual Off
The “MANUAL OFF” function disables a signal circuit. When this is done, the
signal circuit will remain deactivated until the user changes it to “MANUAL ON”
or “AUTOMATIC” status.
Pressing the
‘4’
key may or may not result in the display prompting for an access
code. If not, or once a correct access code is entered, the display prompts the
user to select the signal circuit to be disabled. The user must press the keys
corresponding to the signal circuits the user wishes to disable, and then press
‘Enter’
.
Prompt to User to Enter the Signal Circuits to be Disabled “Manually”
