OPERATION
When an operation requires an access code to be entered, the display prompts the
user to enter an access code. The access code is a three digit number. Each digit of
the access code may be a number from 0 to 9. As the digits are keyed in, a number
symbol (#) appears to indicate a number for that digit has been selected.
NOTE: The number symbol (#) will not appear until the first non-zero digit is keyed
in. For example, an access code of 0-1-2 would be displayed as “## “, but an
access code of 2-1-0 would be displayed as “###”.
After all three digits are keyed in, the user must press the ‘Enter’ to get the Master
Time Programmer to “look at” the access code.

When a valid access code is used, and then the operator uses the ‘Esc’ key to return
to the time and date display, the same number of asterisks appear on the time and date
display as the level of access code that was entered. This asterisk notation lasts until
one of the following occurs: (1) removal of AC power; (2) hardware reset; (3) approxi-
mately 2 minutes elapses from the time the last key was pressed. During this time, the
user may reenter the menu or operate Function Keys without having to reenter the
access code.
