RLC Users
The three levels of Spectra T24 library RLC users are described below.
Note:
Access to certain library operations—like media exchanges and
library service—can be controlled on a secondary level by
requiring that users enter a PIN on the OCP before these
operations can be performed. For more information, see
Changing
Passwords
on page 32.
Guest
Users with this level of access to the RLC can only view
library information in the Identity and Status screens.
An attempt by a Guest user to access the other screens
results in a warning (shown at right). When the user
selects
OK
, the RLC returns the user to the Library
Identity screen. The default password for the Guest
login is std001.
Admin
Users with this level of access to the RLC can view all library information as well as
change library configuration, perform media operations, run diagnostics, and service
the library. The default password for the Admin login is adm001.
Service
Users with this level of access to the RLC can view all library information as well as
change library configuration, perform media operations, run diagnostics, and service
the library. The default password for the Service login is ser001.
Note:
You cannot change the user name for any level of login.
After installing and configuring your library, however, you should
change the default passwords for increased security. Instructions
are available in
Changing Passwords
on page 32.
