When You Cannot Answer Immediately
Placing an Incoming Call on Hold
Place an incoming call on hold when you are unable to answer it right away.

When you are unable to answer a call (ie: your handset is out of range,
a call is in progress, etc.) divert calls to; a preset phone number
(page 14-3) or Voice Mail Center (page 14-5).
Tip
Recording a Message to Answering Machine
Record a caller's message to your handset when you are unable to answer a
voice call. Save up to five 30-second messages to Answering Machine.

automatically.

Answering Machine is unavailable for video calls (page 5-2) and Call
Waiting (page 14-6).
