Warning
:
- Handle the battery with extreme caution, wear gloves and eye protection.
In the event of charging the battery:
- Check that the room is adequately ventilated.
- Use a specific “maintenance free battery” charger providing 0.5 A/H.
NOTE : To protect the environment deposit your old batteries at a collection
center.
To access the battery, remove the seat and the air filter. See page 95
- The battery is housed at the bottom of the filter box and is held by the electrical
component support

- Unscrew the 2 screws
A
and remove the support.
- Always start by disconnecting the earth terminal (-).
- Check the battery voltage when idle using a voltmeter.
- The voltage should be higher than 12.7 V.
- If it is less, recharge the battery at 0.5 AH for a maximum of 10 hours.
- Do not exceed 14.4 Volts.
- Replace the battery by reversing the procedure.
Warning
:
Do not cross over the terminals.
This can damage the electrical circuit
NOTE : Always use the battery that is recommended by the manufacturer.
It is specifically equipped by with special protection.
