rise time (time when the drive reaches in 90% of set point)
•
presence of overshoot (exceeding the set point)
•
time to reach the scheme (set point tracking).
In the presence of overshoot too high, the use of a negative value of gain reduces the
dynamic system, and then in general lower / eliminate the peak overshoot and settling time
to increase the scheme. And 'the setting to be taken when the calibration parametric make
the system too nervous or too sensitive to change.
In the presence of the system too slow (no overshoot and settling too long profile), however,
an improvement can be achieved by raising the values of gain. This reduces the time to
reach the regime, to create a small overshoot.
In doing so, keep in mind that in the presence of opening times IGBT already high, it is not
possible to increase the dynamics of the system because it already is providing all the
available voltage. This situation is shown in the graph% D, when the value is close to 100%
during the too slow. In this case there is no benefit by increasing the gain.
The optimal behavior is achieved in the test step response characterized by slight
overshoot (within 10-15% of set point), in this case because the regulator is sufficiently
robust to interference, but also ready to react favoring the dynamic load. The overshoot
residue, rather than by changing the gain, must be removed by inserting a time solpe-up
value consistent with the rise time noted in step response. A purely step, in fact, is not
physically chased by an inductive system, and can easily lead to saturation of the controls
with the next most slow in recovering the situation of the regime. The correct definition of
the profile with respect to the characteristics of the plant, however, allows the system to
react better.
The maximum current set for each model is:
