Guide laser
The marking position can be checked visually by using the guide function with the red laser beam.

• Use the guide display function only as the guideline. For the appropriate marking quality, fine adjust the work distance
and setting position of the target object by checking the actual marking results.
• Depending on the marking settings or installation conditions (use of focus adjustment function, etc.), the position
indicated in the work distance display mode may not coincide with the appropriate work distance. Using an actual
workpiece, check if proper marking can be obtained with the work distance displayed by the guide laser and adjust the
distance as necessary.
• When the standard head scanner is rotated, the amount of deviation of the laser pointer position from the center of the
guide laser may become larger compared with the case when the laser beam is irradiated directly below the scanner.
Use the position where the laser pointer comes closest to the center of the guide laser as a guide for the work distance.
With the guide laser the following data can be indicated.
Display mode Description
Marking field Displays the marking field frame and center lines with the guide laser.
Marking image Displays the setting data in the file.
The object data with marking off setting is not displayed.
Masked objects Displays only the data set to Marking off and enabled guide indication.
Work distance The guide laser shows the rough indication of the work distance (distance from the head base to
the marking surface). The red point emitted in oblique and the red cross emitted perpendicularly
from the head are displayed. The distance where the laser point is closest to the center of the
cross represents the guide of the work distance.
