Operation by touch panel console / monitor (LP-RH/LP-ZV series only)
Troubles Causes Measures
Touch panel console
or monitor shows
nothing.
Laser marker has not been
started.
Start-up the laser marker with the touch panel console or monitor
connected.
Incorrect connection of the
touch panel console/monitor.
• When you use the touch panel console: connect the cable of the
touch panel console to the CONSOLE connector on the front of
the controller.
• When you use the monitor: connect the cable of the monitor to
the VGA connector on the rear of the controller. The available
input terminal of the monitor is only VGA terminal with this
product.
The expansion board is
not installed or incorrectly
installed to the controller.
• When you use the touch panel console or monitor, you need to
install the optional expansion board LP-AEB10 to the controller
of the laser marker.
• Make sure that the cables inside the controller are connected to
the expansion board correctly.
Online connection between
Laser Marker NAVI smart
and the laser marker is
established.
You cannot operate the touch panel console/monitor while the
Laser Marker NAVI smart is online connected to the laser marker.
When you use the monitor:
Monitor is not turned on.
Check power supply of the monitor.
Mouse does not
respond.
The mouse is connected to
the USB hub.
Connect the USB mouse to the laser marker controller directly
without USB hub.
The mouse type is not
supported by the laser
marker.
Use the USB mouse with Human interface device (HID) class.
USB flash
drive cannot be
recognized.
The USB flash drive type is
not supported by the laser
marker.
You cannot use the USB flash drive with security functions.
The file system selected
when formatting the USB
flash drive is not appropriate.
Use a USB flash drive formatted with FAT32 or exFAT.
The connector of the USB
flash drivel is not clean.
Clean the connector of the USB flash drive.
The USB flash drive is
connected to the USB hub.
Connect the USB flash drive to the laser marker controller directly
without USB hub.
The expansion board is not
installed to the controller.
The USB flash drive can be used only when operating with the
touch panel console or monitor. When you use the touch panel
console or monitor, you need to install the optional expansion
board LP-AEB10 to the controller of the laser marker.
“Expansion board
version error” dialog
appears on the
console.
The firmware version of
the expansion board is
incompatible.
Update the firmware in the controller and expansion board. The
software for updating the LP-RH/LP-ZV series, Laser Marker
Firmware Updater, can be downloaded from the following website:
