7-5-3 Removal of battery inside the controller
A lithium battery is contained inside the controller as battery for clock or calendar of the laser marker. When disposing of
the laser marker in the EU, remove the battery according to the following procedure and perform proper sorting based on
the EU Battery Directive (2006/66 / EC).
WARNING
• To remove the battery, disconnect the AC power cable to prevent the power
from being supplied. Failure to do so may cause electrical shock.

Steps for replacement
1.
Turn OFF the key switch of the controller, and disconnect the AC power cable.
2.
Loosen the following screws and remove the side
panel of the controller.
Five M3 screws on the back
One M3 screw on the top
Two M3 screws on the side

Cut the cable tie that secure the battery inside the controller with a diagonal cutter for plastics.
WARNING
• Wear the protection goggles to cut the cable tie. The cutting piece may fly and
hurt your eyes.
4.
You can remove the battery by removing the connector for the battery inside the
controller.
