OLP function
Purpose:
If it is impossible in an overload situation to make load moment decreasing movements, the crane can
be moved out of the overload situation by using the OLP (overload protection) function.
Function:
With the OLP function (that can be disabled) it is possible to release all blocked crane movements in
case of an overload for 1.5 seconds. Exception: The ‘extend extension booms’ crane functions of the
crane and the fly-jib system remain blocked. After this OLP cannot be deactivated for 30 seconds.
When you try to deactivate OLP again before the 30 seconds have elapsed, the OLP timer appears
and the remaining time is displayed.
OLP modes of operation
The display shows the currently active operating mode.
1 F1 function menu 2. OLP active 3. OLP inactive 4. OLP timer
Danger!
It is prohibited to increase the load moment by switching off OLP
while the crane is in an overload situation. This may lead to fatal
injury.
Operation
x The crane is overloaded.
x
Deactivate OLP via F1 function menu .
x
Now, all crane movements can be actuated for 1.5 seconds. Exception: The ‘extend extension
booms’ crane functions of the crane and the fly-jib system remain blocked.
x
For the next 30 seconds it is not possible to deactivate OLP.
Increasing the total load moment on purpose, using the OLP function, is prohibited.
