Chapter 7 Preparing for crane operation

Start remote control console:
x Levers are in the neutral position.
x Emergency cut-off button on the console is unlocked.
Note!
If the battery voltage is extremely low, the remote control transmitter
cannot be started.
Start remote control console:
x Insert battery into remote control console (1),
ensure contacts are aligned correctly, push in and
gently press down until it snaps into place.
x
Insert the key (2).
x Turn key to ON (3).
x Turn the key further to START (4) and hold in this
position for about 2 seconds until you hear a beep.
x
Let the key go (it reverts automatically to the ON
position).
The transmitter now runs a system test and establishes the wireless
connection with the receiver.
As soon as the ON / OFF LED (6) above the screen goes green, the
system is ready for use.
Warning!
Whenever the remote control console is not being used or there is no
visual contact with the crane, the console must always be switched
off. When you finish your work, always remove the key!
x The console is ready for operation.
x The vehicle must be properly supported prior to unfolding the crane.
x
After unfolding the crane, check the emergency cut-off function (for test procedure refer to ‘Daily
function check of the control systems', chapter 7).
