Crane operation with activated AOS-P3
Warning!
During damping the main boom may move considerably, even if the
operator has not actuated any main boom movement.
Always observe the main boom while operating the crane with activated AOS. While AOS is damping
the movements, the main boom position may change.
In order to keep the movements of the main boom as small as possible while damping the unit:
x Start and stop all lifting and lowering movements slowly.
x
Slowly lift up and put down the loads.
The drop-down point may shift during damping. Then the load will not be put down in the proper place.
If the load must be put down in the exact place deactivate AOS before.
Activating manual AOS (concrete bucket function)
Note!
Manual AOS is necessary for damping sudden load changes with the
stationary crane (no hydraulic crane function actuated, e.g. emptying
a concrete bucket).
The manual AOS function reduces the vertical boom oscillations after a sudden load change.
Function (example of concrete bucket emptying)
AOS function must be activated.
x Keep pressed the ‘manual AOS’ button permanently while the load is changing.
x
At the same time empty the concrete bucket.
