Preparing for remote operation
The PALcom remote control console is used when the crane is being operated in radio-controlled
mode. Cabled operation is possible as an emergency back-up mode.
Danger!
The radio remote control needs to be checked for any malfunctions
every time before starting to work, failure to do so may result in
severe risk of fatality for the operator and others.
Carefully check the wireless remote control system before starting work every day.
Check that:

The operating levers reset themselves (into the neutral position).
x The switches / buttons are mechanically working.
x
There are no missing or damaged components.
Any defects must be remedied before using the wireless remote control system.
Battery:
x
Always handle batteries with care.
x
The spare battery remains in the charger inside the vehicle.
x Insert only the fully charged battery into the remote control console.
x
Carry the cable with you in the vehicle (for cable operation refer to ‘Cable operation’, chapter 7).
