Chapter 7 Preparing for crane operation

Manual support operating stand (on crane)
If the crane is equipped with manually operated
stabilizers:
x Set the key switch to support operation;
x
Extend outrigger beam and support cylinder
properly at crane operating station.
Support operation via remote control
If the crane is equipped with radio controlled stabilizers:
x Set the key switch to remote operation.
x On the radio remote control’s display go to the stabilization menu (refer to ‘Stabilization menu item’,
chapter 5, ‘Display menu navigation’). As soon as the stabilization menu was selected the warning
signal sounds.
x
Press the SELECT button on the required side on the display of the crane operating station.
Precondition: All operating levers must be in neutral position.
x The ‘Crane operator' symbolizes that this side of the truck has been cleared for radio-controlled
outrigger operation from the button on the crane.
x The stabilizer outriggers can now be operated via the remote control for 30 seconds, the crane is in
support operation. If this time is not long enough, select the side again.
