1-2 Operation Procedure of Unit
This section provides the procedure to operate a Delta3 robot.
*1. This procedure is different from that for NJ501-1

Units. Refer to the NJ/NX-series CPU Unit Motion
Control User's Manual (Cat. No. W507) for information on other procedures.

Select absolute encoders and motors with
brakes.

Install the motors so that they can meet the
requirements of relationship between the machine
coordinate system and axis coordinate systems.

Match the positive direction of the axis
coordinate system with that of the motor.

Create a project.
Create the EtherCAT Network Configuration.
Add three axes for the robot.

Select an axes group used for the robot and
assign axes to the logical axes of the group.

Set the axis parameters.
Set the Controller Setup.
Open the MC Test Run Pane.
Monitor input/output signals to check the wiring.
Perform homing for the robot.

Create control programs.
Perform debugging.
Operate the Controller and the machine.
Perform periodic maintenance.
Jog the axes to check that the axes operate
properly and operation directions are correct
in both positive and negative directions.

Transfer the project to the Controller.
