Removing the Duplexer
Removing the Duplexer
RF energy hazard and potential equipment damage precaution: Turn off all
power to the Power Supply Unit before performing the following procedures to
prevent accidental contact with high energy and injury to personnel.
Procedure 7-3
How to Remove the MTS 2 Duplexer

Switch OFF the Power Supply Unit.

Unscrew the antenna cable. Remove all RX, TX and signal cables connected to the Duplexer.

Remove the fastening screw behind the antenna.

Loosen the two fastening screws at the front enough to free the center tab.
Do not remove the screws entirely because the filter will drop.
5
Slide the Duplexer out of the cabinet.
Reinstalling the Duplexer
To install the FRU, follow:
•
to insert the Duplexer into the
fi
lter tray.
•
to update the mapping list with the new unit TrackID.

How to Insert the Duplexer into the Filter Tray.

Slide the Duplexer into the
fi
lter tray in the cabinet. Make sure the rear center tab
fi
ts in the
appropriate slot.

While supporting the Duplexer fasten the two screws at the front.

Fasten screw in the center tab behind the antenna.
4
Attach all RX, TX and signal cables to be connected to the Duplexer. Fasten the antenna cable.
5
Switch ON the Power Supply Unit.
