Settings > Bluetooth / Disk
The next sub tab over from settings > system is bluetooth / disk. Here is another tab that looks and works exactly the same
regardless of the chosen mode. Tap bluetooth / disk to open it, revealing a screen that looks somewhat like what is displayed
below. We will go through each of these three sections separately: (1) Bluetooth, (2) SD Card and (3) USB Drive.
Settings > Bluetooth / Disk > Bluetooth
Mixers can only accept one input per channel and the DLZ Creator is no different.
As indicated earlier, the last input channel (9/10) may accept a Bluetooth connection.
Or, if not using Bluetooth, this channel strip could be used for SD/USB instead of Bluetooth
(via Channel > Setup > Channel Source). Regardless, a channel source must be chosen!
Pairing and Connecting –
Tap the Bluetooth’s ‘Enabled’ switch so it is to the right (on, enabled).
This switch will engage the channel’s pairing mode, allowing the DLZ Creator to be seen by other
Bluetooth devices such as a phone or tablet. The switch will illuminate solid green when engaged.
This is to indicate that the DLZ Creator and device are in pairing mode.
While the DLZ Creator is in pairing mode, simultaneously scan for Bluetooth devices on the phone
or tablet. You should see DLZ Creator appear in the “available devices” list. Select it. From there,
the device should indicate that it is successfully connected.
A previously paired device will auto reconnect if both the device and mixer are powered on
and in range.
The Bluetooth may disconnect when affected by Electrostatic Discharge [ESD].
Manually reconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Bluetooth Calls –
Once paired and connected, making and taking calls from guests is easy!
While this may be true, we strongly suggest a trial run to confirm that everything works as it should.
1. Make sure the channel 9/10 fader is at unity.
2. Make sure the channel 9/10 source is set to Bluetooth.
3. Make sure Mix-Minus is turned on.
4. Make sure the (Bluetooth) volume is turned up on the phone.
5. Have someone call the number of the phone connected via Bluetooth. Ron Burgundy’s phone
in the example to the left.
6. Make sure the output destination on the phone is set to DLZ Creator.
7. Adjust the levels until you hear each other clearly!
