Chapter 4 : Getting Started
Introduction
Before powering the DLZ Creator on, let’s take a few minutes to get acquainted with the wording that will be used throughout
this Owner’s Manual. Doing so will minimize confusion and increase productivity, a great combination!
Tapping and Dragging
The tap-and-drag sounds like it could be a brand-new dance, but alas, ’tis not. Instead they are the functions you will be using:
There are a multitude of things to tap: tabs (and sub tabs) along the navigation bar, channel IDs, preset pull-downs,
on/off switches and many more. The DLZ Creator works in similar fashion. In most cases, it is tap to engage, tap again
to disengage.
Some things may be double-tapped to reset to their default settings. For example, pans will be centered,
EQ will be set to 0 dB gain, etc. Also, a double-tap on a channel ID will quickly navigate to that channel’s parameters.
Dragging is how to adjust pans, EQ, gate, compressor and FX settings to name just a few. Keep a finger on the parameter
and drag the selected item to the desired destination. You will become a master dragger in no time!
Welcome Screen
Are you ready to fire it up? Of course you are... let’s go! Turn the power switch on and let the little gerbils hanging out
under the hood wake up. After their slumber, you will be welcomed with the following screen:
