Main Output Channel
Like the input channel strips, the master channel strip also contains a mute button and fader.
However, unlike the input channel strips, the master channel strip is linked to the L/R outputs, not the inputs.
MUTE Button
Mute buttons mute – turn off – the signal on the selected input(s) and/or output(s). Mute buttons illuminate red
when engaged. The master channel mute button works exactly like a channel mute, except it mutes the output.
Use it as a bathroom break switch, for example. Note that it only mutes the main out L/R, by default. The mute button
illuminates red when engaged.
Main Output Fader and Meters
The main fader adjusts the level of the output, while the output meter displays the output signal level, presented in stereo L/R.
The meters should remain green with the occasional bump into the yellow zone. If there is too much yellow (or any red
clipping), lower the main fader until it’s gone and check the input channels, as well.
Input channels 1-4 have mono meters (one strip) versus input channels 5-10, the sampler channel (11/12)
and main out L/R which are all stereo meters (two strips).
Home • Rec • AutoMix
These three full-color, soft-touch silicone buttons (1) allow for immediate access to the overview tab, (2) reveals the recording
banner and (3) reveals the MixAgent™ AutoMix banner. See below for more information.
HOME Button
This button’s single function in life is to return you to the main overview screen when pressed. We totally get it... sometimes
after a long day at the office, we could use a button like this to return home immediately, too. This momentary button will
illuminate green when engaged (and held).
REC Button
Once this button is pressed, the display presents the recording setup banner. One-tap recording either (1) enables hard
start/stop on-board recording (quick press-and-release) or (2) pauses the current recording (2-second hold-and-release).
While paused, recording may be resumed by a quick press of the recording button. This latching button will illuminate – and
pulse – red when engaged to indicate that recording has begun.
Much more information about the DLZ Creator recording process may be found in Chapter 13 (pages 80-83).
