Channel Faders and Input Meters
The channel faders adjust the level of each channel going to the selected output(s).
The volume levels range from off (silent) to max (full volume).
The input meters display the relative level of each input channel. They should remain green
with the occasional bump into the yellow zone. Turn down the gain if the input meter remains
consistently yellow. If the input is too high [overloading], a clip indicator at the top of the
meter will illuminate red. If clipping occurs, reduce the gain.
Input channels 1-4 have mono meters (one strip) versus input channels 5-10,
the sampler channel (11/12) and main out L/R which are all stereo meters (two strips).
Sampler Channel
The sampler channel strip contains the following:
SOLO Button
Solo offers the opportunity to audition the sampler channel before it is added to the mix.
Whenever a channel’s solo button is engaged, only the soloed channel(s) may be heard
in the monitor bus. Solo buttons illuminate orange when engaged.
Sampler Channel Fader
The sampler channel fader adjusts the level of the samples going to the selected output(s).
The volume level ranges from off (silent) to max (full volume). It is a global control,
affecting the level of all six sample pads.
Six Sample Pads
Pressing one (or more) of these six full-color, soft-touch silicone momentary buttons results
in playback of the saved sample. When pressed, the sample will play. Additionally, the button
will illuminate brightly for the duration of the playback. When not playing, the sample pads
will still illuminate, but dimly. If no sample is assigned to a pad, it will remain unlit.
The samples, playback mode, colors and more may be changed and updated via the samples tab.
More on this later.
