Channel Setup > Mid EQ [Pro]
The mid EQ provides up to 15 dB of boost or cut from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The screenshots displayed below contain EQ Band 2
at 1 kHz at ±10 dB with the EQ on and off. The Q is set at 0.1. Notice the similarities and differences between them.
Channel Setup > High EQ [Pro]
The high EQ provides up to 15 dB of boost or cut from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The screenshots displayed below contain EQ Band 3
at 5 kHz at ±10 dB with the EQ on and off. The Q is set at 0.1. Notice the similarities and differences between them.
Although the Q control does adjust the bandwidth of a filter, the Q value itself is dimensionless; it has no unit
of measurement. Some equalizers use the fractional bandwidth of the filter, measured in octaves, to express
this parameter. The two parameters are inversely related; a high Q value corresponds to a small fractional
bandwidth. The following table lists some equivalent Q and fractional bandwidth values.
EQ OFF – Mid Band (2) – 1 kHz at ±10 dB
EQ ON – Mid Band (2) – 1 kHz at ±10 dB
EQ OFF – High Band (3) – 5 kHz at ±10 dB
EQ ON – High Band (3) – 5 kHz at ±10 dB
