DLZ CREATOR ADAPTIVE DIGITAL MIXER FOR PODCASTING AND STREAMING, FEATURING MIX AGENT™ TECHNOLOGY
12
USB-C Computer Jack
This is an interface that allows audio to stream to and from the DLZ Creator via computer.
Connect the USB-C side of a USB cable to the DLZ Creator and the USB-A side to the computer’s USB port.
USB Audio IN –
This connector allows the ability to transmit
STEREO AUDIO TO
DLZ Creator channel 5/6 or 7/8
(depending on source selection) via computer or phone. This only functions when the 1/8" (3.5 mm) TRS is disconnected.
DLZ Creator will send multitrack audio to the computer via the master audio bus.
USB Audio OUT –
This connector allows the ability to transmit
MULTITRACK AUDIO FROM
the DLZ Creator via computer
or phone.
Don’t forget to change the input and output to ‘DLZ Creator’ via Settings on your computer.
DLZ Creator’s USB connection is audio only. It is not a source of power.
Ethernet Jack [NYI]
This feature is NYI (Not Yet Implemented). A firmware update will allow for multiple features in the future.
We greatly appreciate your patience!
USB-A Jack
This USB-A jack serves as a multi-purpose feature, allowing for a variety of options. Connect a flash drive and record direct,
for example. Maybe connect a keyboard for naming and hot keys. Have a dying phone? Charge it here!
While those last two examples are totally doable, we assume that this jack will almost exclusively be used for recording.
Please use a flash drive only! Do NOT use an SSD (Solid State Drive) or HDD (Hard Drive Disk),
portable or otherwise, as these will not be recognized by DLZ Creator. There is not enough power
in DLZ Creator to drive an SSD or HDD.
Formatting
– We know you’re an eager beaver, all psyched to start recording, but let’s take care of something very important
first: formatting the USB drive. First, get a USB drive; this could be a brand new one or one you’ve had for awhile so long as it’s
Class 10 or better.
The USB drive need to be Class 10 or better to ensure reliable operation. If using an older USB drive, it’s a high
possibility that some samples will be dropped because it is too slow. We are not in the business of suggesting
what USB drive to go with, but choosing one with an instantly recognizable, quality, trustworthy name doesn’t hurt.
