c. Connect the other end of the battery/flash power module cable to the connector on the
battery/flash power module.

Note: Make sure the battery/flash power module is seated properly.
d. Place the retention clip underneath while pressing the release tab toward the front of the server
until it snaps in place to hold the retention clip firmly in place.
Step 9. Reinstall the cover (see “Replacing the cover” on page 240).
Step 10. Slide the server into the rack.
Step 11. Reconnect the power cords and all external cables, and turn on the server and peripheral devices.
Removing the dual-port network adapter
Use this information to remove the dual-port network adapter.
To remove the dual-port network adapter, complete the following steps:
Step 1. Read the safety information that begins on “Safety” on page v and “Installation guidelines”
on page 34.
Step 2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables,
if necessary.
Step 3. Remove the cover (see “Removing the cover” on page 240).
Step 4. Remove the PCI riser-card assembly (if installed) from PCI riser connector 2 (see “Removing a PCI
riser-card assembly” on page 277).
Step 5. Loosen the two captive screws on the network adapter from the screw holes on the system board.
