6.2
Working with the License System
Lawo software licenses are managed by the CodeMeter licensing system from
Your license must be installed onto a USB memory stick which is connected to the front panel DONGLE port.
Note that you can upgrade or downgrade the DSP resources available to your system, by installing a new license
and loading a suitable system configuration.
6.2.1
Preparing the USB License Dongle
POWER CORE ships with a USB memory stick which can be used as the dongle once you have activated your
license. Note that the memory stick is delivered without any licenses installed, and so you will need to redeem
your license code (using one of the activation methods) before fitting the dongle.
To perform the activation, you will need:

A PC with an internet connection and USB port. If your PC does not have an internet connection, then the

The USB memory stick supplied with your system.

The license code for your feature set. This can be found on the delivery note shipped with the system. It
takes the form of a 25-digit ticket number such as the one shown below.

Once activated, it is strongly recommended that you backup your licenses (using the
CodeMeter
portal). This will allow you to restore a license if the original dongle is lost or damaged.

Installing CodeMeter Runtime
In order to activate a license, your PC must be installed with
CodeMeter Runtime
(a software tool from WIBU
systems).

Run the installer following the on-screen instructions.

CodeMeter Runtime Cm container
This shows that a Cm container (for local license storage) has been installed. Note that this container will not be
used for POWER CORE, but can be used to store the licenses for other Lawo software products.
