16. Key Panel Control

Configuring Key Panels
The parameters for each Key Panel can be accessed by double-clicking on the panel in the
configuration,
or selecting the panel in the "
Panel
" branch of the 'Tree Definition'. Use the menu tabs to switch between the
different sets of parameters.
The parameters vary slightly depending on the
of Key Panel. Some Key Panels support two layers of
functions (main and SHIFT), and so the
General
parameters may include a SHIFT control signal. An LCD Key
Panel will also support dynamic labels (described
).
Keys Parameters
The
Keys..
tabs provide access to the MF Key parameters for the Key Panel (name and lamp colour/state).
These parameters are identical to those on a fader strip (described
).
To configure the MF Key functions, assign the MF Key to the required function from the 'Tree Selection' window.
General Parameters
Shift
Reference name for the SHIFT function.
Select Logic
This input control signal makes SHIFT active. It may be any control signal but is usually an
MF Key on the same Key Panel.
Alarm
Reference name for the alarm contact from the Key Panel.
Once named, the alarm contacts appear under the “Panel” branch of the ‘Tree Selection’ window:

This output is true when the alarm for the Key Panel is active.
Keys (Shift) Parameters
If the Key Panel supports a second layer of functions, then these parameters will define the name and lamp
colour/state of the SHIFT function. These become active when the SHIFT "Select Logic" value is active. The
SHIFT functions are defined when you assign an MF Key to a parameter from the 'Tree Selection' window.
GPIO Parameters
Some Key panels provide GP inputs and outputs which can be configured in the same way as a
