9. Audio Mix Engine

9.8

Tone Generator

The system includes the following internally generated audio signals which are available for assignment from the
‘Tree Selection’ window:

LineUp

This is a reference level tone at 0dB; you may configure control signals (e.g. MF Keys) to select the generator
frequency from “

System -> Definition -> Audio Internal

”.

To check line up levels through the system, this tone can be used as an audio input, and also supplied to a
physical output, via a

connect

Mute

This signal is an internal mute (silence).

It can be used, for example, as the

Default Audio

source for outputs that are usually assigned via connect

elements to set them to silence.

Binary Ones

This is an audio signal with all bits set to binary ‘1’. It can be used for measurement purposes.
