Confirm counting operation
Set the overflow value through the TMHnD register of the 16-bit timer n.
Set the following items through the FTnMOD register of the functional timer n.
- FTnMD1-0 bit=0 (initial value): TIMER mode
- FTnDTENP, FTnDTENN bits=00 (initial value): Dead time disabled
- FTnOST bit=0 (initial value): Repeat mode
Set the following items through the FTnCLK register of the functional timer n.
- FTnCK0 bit=0 (initial value): HSCLK is chosen for operation clock
- Other bits=0
Set the following items through the FTnTRG0 register of the functional timer n.
- FTnST bit=1: Counter start through trigger event: Enabled
- FTnSTC bit=1: Counter clear through trigger event for count start: Enabled
- FTnSP bit=1: Counter stop through trigger event: Enabled
- FTnSTSS, FTnSTS3 to 0 bits: TMnINT is chosen for trigger event source
- Other bits="0"
Set the following items through the FTnTRG1 register of the functional timer n.
- FTnTRM2 to 0 bits=000 (initial value): rising edge counter start, rising edge
counter stop
- Other bits=0
Set the following items through the FTnINTE register of the functional timer n.
- FTnIETS bit=1: Trigger counter stop interrupt: Enabled
- Other bits=0
Write "0FFFFH" to the FTnP register of the functional timer n.
Through this writing the use of the counter can be maximized in the trigger
start/stop mode.
Enable the functional timer n interrupt (FTMnINT) with the IE23 register.
(EFTMn bit=1)
Set the following item through the FTCSTR register of the functional timer n.
Functional timer n trigger operation: Enabled (FTnETG bit=1)
Start 16-bit timer n count through the TMHSTR register of the 16-bit timer n.
The functional timer starts/stops counting using HSCLK
(
high-speed clock)
through the overflow interrupt of the 16-bit timer which is counting using LSCLK
(low-speed clock).
An interrupt is generated when the functional timer stops. Then read the value
of the FTnC register to confirm if the high-speed clock is normally oscillating.
