12.3 Description of Operation
12.3.1 Master Operation
The following flow charts describe procedures of each operation in the master mode.
12.3.1.1 Initial Setting of Communication Operation
12.3.1.2 Start Condition
Initial setting completed
(move to start condition)
Set I2UM0EN=1 in the I2UM0MOD register
Initial setting start
Set communication mode
Set I2UM0A6 to I2UM0A0 bits and I2UM0RW bit in
the
I2UM0SA register
Select master mode
Set I2UMD=0 in the I2UMSS register
Set slave address
Confirm communication is stopped
Confirm I2UM0ST=0 in the I2UM0CON register
Start condition completed
(move to slave address transmit
mode)
Start condition start
Start communication
Set I2UM0ST bit of I2UM0CON register to “1”.
Output the start condition waveforms to I2CU0_SDA and
I2CU0_SCL pins.
