3 System Description
3.2.4 Chain Functions
A total of 10 signal chains are available for linking together various input signals. These chains
are assigned to any logic signal as required and can consist of up to 16 links. These links must
be assigned to a physical input via the I/O matrix in the CMS remote software package.
Input functions/logic signals already assigned (e.g. main flame 1 and main flame 2) can also
be assigned to a signal chain.

3.3.1 Analogue Inputs
Analogue inputs can be any of the following physical signals:
Examples of functions that can be predefined:

• Correction 1–4
• Actuator pressure control
• Burner firing rate controller actual value
• Setpoint shift
• Fuel meter
3.3.2 Analogue outputs
Analogue outputs can be assigned to any of the following physical signals:

Monitor output
• Servo motor
• More functions possible
– 0/4 - 20 mA – Pt100 – NAMUR pulses/3-wire, inductive
– 0/2 - 10 V – Pt1000 – Potentiometer
