HANDLEBAR,CONTROLS

Checkin the routing of the throttle cable

Preparatory work

Remove the seat. (.- p. 76)

Remove the fuel tank. (.- p. 76)

Main work

Check the routing of the throttle cable.

Both throttle cables must be routed to the throttle valve body side by side

behind the handlebars and above the fuel tank bearing.

If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:

Correct the routing of the throttle cable.

Finishing work

Install the fuel tank. (.- p. 78)

Mount the seat. (.- p. 76)

Check the throttle grip for smooth operation.

Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position. Move the throttle grip back

and forth slightly to ascertain play

in the throttle cable.

Play in throttle cable

If the throttle cable play does not meet specifications:

- Adjust the play in the throttle cable. (.- p. 40)

Start the engine and let it run idle. Move the handlebar to and fro over the entire

steering range.

The idle speed must not change.

If the idle speed changes:
