BRAKE SYSTEM

Check that leaf spring

in the brake caliper and sliding plate

in the brake

caliper support are seated properly.

✓ The arrow on the leaf spring points in the rotation direction of the brake disc.

Insert the new brake linings, insert pin

and mount cotter pins (D.

•

Info

Always change the brake linings in pairs.

Make sure that decoupling plate @ is mounted on the piston side of the

brake lining.

- Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with

the brake disc and there is a pressure point.

- Add brake fluid to level f).

Brake fluid DOT 4 (.- p. 256)

Mount screw cap

with membrane

and O-ring.

Info

Clean up overflowed or spilt brake fluid immediately with water.

Checkin the free travel of foot brake lever

Warning

Danger of accidents

Brake system failure.

If there is no free travel on the foot brake lever, pressure builds up on the rear brake circuit. The rear brake can fail due to

overheating. Adjust the free travel on foot brake lever according to specifications.

Disconnect spring

Move the foot brake lever back and forth between the end stop and the contact

to the foot brake cylinder piston and check free travel f).
