Multigas Measurement (HPD-800: Capnostat5)
The “CO
2
Unit Error” message is displayed.
Cause : There is a failure in the CO
2
unit.
Solution : Stop using the unit and contact our service representative.
The “CO
2
Sensor Failure” message is displayed.
Cause 1 : The CO
2
sensor temperature is higher than 50
°
C.
Solution : Remove any heat generating source around the sensor.
Cause 2 : The CO
2
sensor is defective.
Solution : Replace the CO
2
sensor.
Solution : If error persists, the CO
2
unit may be damaged. Stop using the unit and contact our
service representative.
The “Zero CO
2
Adapter” or “Check CO
2
Adapter” message is displayed.
Cause : The CO
2
sensor is not zero balanced.
Solution : Perform the airway adapter calibration.
The “Check CO
2
Adapter” message is displayed.
Cause 1 : The airway adapter is unclean.
Solution : A clean airway adapter must be used. If reusing an airway adapter, clean and air-dry it.
Then, wipe the window with swab, and sterilize (EOG, etc.) before use.
Cause 2 : The airway adapter is disconnected from the sensor.
Solution : Securely connect the airway adapter to the sensor.
Note
: If the error persists, calibrate the airway adapter.

The “Unknown CO
2
Sensor” message is displayed.
Cause : The connected CO
2
sensor is not applicable.

Solution : Connect the applicable CO
2
sensor (Capnostat 5).
Multigas Measurement (IRMA Probe)
No message is displayed, and all gas parameter values are displayed as “

”.
Cause : The AGENT label is not set on the monitor.
Solution : Gas monitoring will not start unless the AGENT label is set.
Refer to “6. Parameter Setup Multigas Data (IRMA Probe) Anesthetic Gas Label”.
If the trouble persists, contact our service representative.
No message is displayed, and O
2
value is displayed as “

”.
Cause : O
2
sensor is not calibrated.
Solution : Perform O
2
sensor calibration.

If the trouble persists, contact our service representative.
The “Repl. O2 Sensor” message is displayed.
Cause : O

sensor is depleted and needs to be replaced.
Solution : Replace the O

Reference : The O

sensor needs to be replaced every 4 months.
The “No Airway Adapter” message is displayed.
Cause : The airway adapter is disconnected from the IRMA probe.
