4.3 Parameter Details
00 Basic Parameters
The AC Drive offers the following control modes:
00-00=0: V/F Mode without encoder
For the quickest out-of-box setup or when controlling multiple motors from on AC drive, use V/F mode. V/F mode is
ideal for loads where precise speed regulation is not needed (regulation is approximately 2-3% of set speed). V/F
mode will work for 95% of motor loads and requires only motor full load amps (FLA) be set in order to protect the
motor. Auto-tuning is not required. For more V/F mode settings, see parameter Group 1.
If desired, select a V/F curve (01-00) based on your motor and application.
Perform a stationary auto-tune (17-00=1), if the motor cable is longer than 50m (165ft); see parameter 17-00 for
details.
00-00=2: Sensorless Vector Control without encoder
SLV mode can provide greater regulation of motor speed but requires tuning of the drive to individual motor. SLV
mode cannot run multiple motors from one AC drive. SLV mode is ideal where precise speed control is needed or
when 100% of motor torque is required at a low operating speed. For SLV auto-tuning, see parameter Group 17.
00-00=5: PM Sensorless Vector Control without encoder
PMSLV mode is identical to SLV mode but using a permanent magnet motor. For PMSLV auto-tuning, see parameter
Group 22.
Note:
Parameter 00-00 is not changed during initialization.
