3.17 Braking resistors
Note:
1: TD400-2025-3PH and TD400-4030-3PH models have the option to use either the internal braking transistor or an
external braking unit when additional braking power is required. See section 3.9 for wiring details.
It is recommended to use an external braking unit when the required resistor wattage is 10% greater than the
resistor specified in the table above. Use the Braking Resistor Wattage formula below to determine resistor size.
