Chapter 4 Basic operations

Viewing SMPTE events without the digitizer

Press [Manual] on the Maintenance panel to interrupt the input of SMPTE time
code and reset the

ESCS to the first recorded SMPTE event.

Manual

appears in

the SMPTE window to indicate that the

ESCS is in Manual mode.

Press [Pause] to interrupt the input of SMPTE time code without resetting the
ESCS to the first recorded SMPTE event.

Pause

appears in the SMPTE window

to indicate that the

ESCS is in Pause mode.

Press [Step] to run individual SMPTE events once you have pressed either
[Manual] or [Pause]. Each time you press [Step] the next consecutive SMPTE
event runs.
