To Remove a ROM Data Card
Y ou can r emove a data ca r d f r om the M R - R ack with its powe r on o r o ff .
1. R emove the data ca r d f r om its slot by pulling it towa r d you.
I f the M R - R ack ’ s powe r is on, its display will show :
PCMCIA Card Removed
Unregistering...
Note:
Pe r f o r mances o r D r um K it Sounds that used Sounds f r om the data ca r d you ’ ve
j ust r emoved will display ** E M P T Y** in place o f any no-longe r available ca r d Sounds.
Accessing a ROM Card’s Sounds, Performances and Demos

same manne r as you r onboa r d Sounds, Pe r f o r mances and demos. Y ou ’ ll f ind a new
SoundFinde r catego r y has appea r ed — C R D — containing you r new mate r ials.
Working With SRAM PCMCIA Data Cards
S R A M PC M C I A data ca r ds a r e intended as additional sto r age space f o r you r M R - R ack
Sounds and Pe r f o r mances. T he M R - R ack can use S R A M ca r ds o f th r ee di ff e r ent memo r y
capacities :
• 512k ca r ds — p r ovide 4 additional Sound/Pe r f o r mance banks
• 1 megabyte ca r ds — p r ovide 9 additional Sound/Pe r f o r mance banks
• 2 megabyte ca r ds — p r ovide 18 additional Sound/Pe r f o r mance banks
PC M C I A ca r ds can be pu r chased inexpensively f r om vendo r s o f compute r equipment and
f r om ENSON I Q, which o ff e r s the M C-512 PC M C I A S R A M ca r d.
SRAM PCMCIA Cards and Batteries
T o maximize batte r y li f e, many S R A M PC M C I A ca r ds a r e shipped without a batte r y. Be f o r e
using these ca r ds, you must f i r st install the co rr ect-size batte r y.
To Install the Battery in an SRAM PCMCIA Card
1. Slide the switch away f r om the batte r y d r awe r to r elease the d r awe r .
