4. T u r n the Pa r amete r knob until the display shows :

Preset= User Preset
Each I nse r t E ff ect has a numbe r o f p r esets that you can use o r employ as sta r ting
points f o r you r own I nse r t E ff ect editing.
W hen you f i r st dial to the I nse r t E ff ect P r eset display, the Use r P r eset is selected — it
contains the I nse r t E ff ect pa r amete r settings that we r e in place when the cu rr ent
Pe r f o r mance was last saved. I f you ’ ve been editing the cu rr ent Pe r f o r mance and think
you may want to use o r tweak the Use r P r eset — but you would like to listen to the othe r
p r esets anyway, to see what they ’ r e like — save the Pe r f o r mance be f o r e selecting othe r
I nse r t E ff ect p r esets. W hen you select a new p r eset, the Use r P r eset is disca r ded, and
can only be r et r ieved by r eselecting the Pe r f o r mance.
5. Use the V alue knob to select an I nse r t E ff ect P r eset you ’ d like to use.
Tip:
P r ess the Ente r button once o r twice i f you ’ d like to quickly get to eithe r o f the
othe r E ff ects f o r editing. P r essing Ente r a thi r d time will b r ing you back to this
display.
Using the Insert FX Bus Input Mix
W hen a Pa r t is assigned to the I nse r t F X Bus, its Sound is r outed to a wet/d r y mix cont r ol.
T he wet/d r y cont r ol dete r mines the r elative balance between the Sound as it is be f o r e going
th r ough the I nse r t E ff ect ( d r y ) , and as it is a f te r the going th r ough the I nse r t E ff ect ( wet ) .
T he I nse r t F X Bus I nput M ix pa r amete r p r ovides the wet/d r y balance cont r ol.
To Set the Insert FX Bus Wet/Dry Input Mix
1. P r ess the E ff ects button i f its yellow L ED is not al r eady lit.
I f the E ff ect button ’ s r ed L ED is lit o r f lashing, you may not be able to hea r the I nse r t
E ff ect. See “ Bypassing E ff ects ” late r in this chapte r to lea r n about bypassing and un-
bypassing E ff ects.
