Adding Global Chorus to the Insert Effect
Af te r Sounds have been p r ocessed by the I nse r t E ff ect, they can be sent into the Global
Cho r us, via a wet/d r y mix cont r ol. T he wet/d r y cont r ol dete r mines the r elative balance
between the Sound as it is a f te r going th r ough the I nse r t E ff ect — r e f e rr ed to, in the context
o f this mix, as “ d r y ”— and as it is a f te r it ’ s gone th r ough the Global Cho r us ( wet ) . T he I nse r t
F X to Global Cho r us M ix pa r amete r p r ovides the wet/d r y balance cont r ol.
To Add Global Chorus to the Insert Effect
1. P r ess the E ff ects button i f its yellow L ED is not al r eady lit.
2. T u r n the Pa r amete r knob until the display shows :

3. P r ess the Ente r button.
4. T u r n the Pa r amete r knob until the display shows :
Insert FX to Global

5. Use the V alue knob to set the I nse r t F X to Global Cho r us M ix as you p r e f e r .

othe r E ff ects f o r editing. P r essing Ente r a thi r d time will b r ing you back to this
display.
Modulating the Insert Effect in Real Time
A ll o f the M R - R ack I nse r t E ff ects allow r eal-time cont r ol o f thei r pa r amete r s th r ough the use
o f M I D I cont r ol messages r eceived on the I nse r t Cont r ol Pa r t. T o set up r eal-time cont r ol o f
an I nse r t E ff ect, six things must be dete r mined :
• M od S r c —f o r “ M odulation Sou r ce, ” this pa r amete r allows you to select what you ’ d like
to use to change an I nse r t E ff ect ’ s pa r amete r in r eal time
• M od S r c M in —f o r “ M odulation Sou r ce M inimum, ” this pa r amete r sets a th r eshold below
which M I D I values r eceived f r om the M od S r c a r e igno r ed
• M od S r c M ax —f o r “ M odulation Sou r ce M aximum, ” this pa r amete r sets a th r eshold
above which M I D I values r eceived f r om the M od S r c a r e igno r ed
• Dest —f o r “ M odulation Destination, ” this pa r amete r chooses the I nse r t E ff ect pa r amete r
you ’ d like to cont r ol in r eal time
• Dest M in —f o r “ M odulation Destination M inimum, ” this pa r amete r sets the lowest value
the destination pa r amete r can be set to by the r eal-time modulato r
• Dest M ax —f o r “ M odulation Destination M aximum, ” this pa r amete r sets the highest
value the destination pa r amete r can be set to by the r eal-time modulato r
