Chapter 6 —Special Commands
To access the Parameters described on this page (unless otherwise noted):
Press the Save button , turn the Parameter knob to locate the action , and
then turn the Value knob to select the object of the action .

Copying RAM Sounds to a PCMCIA Card
T his command copies the enti r e contents o f the R A M Sound bank to any selected C R D
Sound bank.
To Copy RAM Sounds to a PCMCIA Card
1. I nse r t a M R - R ack- f o r matted R A M ca r d into the ca r d slot on the f r ont panel o f the M R -
R ack.

I nitialize and Fo r mat a PC M C I A Ca r d ” below.
T he display will b r ie f ly show :
PCMCIA Card inserted
Registering...
2. P r ess the Save button.
3. T u r n the Pa r amete r knob until “ Copy : ” appea r s in the bottom line o f the display.
4. T u r n the V alue knob clockwise until the display shows :
Hit ENTER to:
Copy: RAM Sounds
5. P r ess the Ente r button.
I f the System W r ite P r otect pa r amete r is set to P r ompt, the display will show :
System Write Protect
On! ENTER Overrides.
T his display is o ff e r ed as a double-check f o r you to make su r e you r eally want to copy
the R A M Sounds. I f you ’ d like to avoid this p r ompt in the f utu r e, see “ P r otecting the
M R - R ack ’ s M emo r y ” in C h a p t er 3 .

what you ’ r e copying :

8. T u r n the value knob to select a speci f ic ca r d bank location to copy the R A M Sounds
into :
