Connect the 3-pin fan connector to the top three pins of connector REAR FAN (J50) on the motherboard (see Figure 26
on page 50 and Figure 32 on page 61).

Reassemble the E-85A and verify its functionality (see page 86 ).
Power supply
This section describes how to remove and replace the power supply. For more information about the power supply, see
“Physical specifications” on page 136.
To remove the power supply

Shut down the E-85A, remove all cables from the back, and then open the system (see page 51 ).
To remove the power supply, you must remove the left and right panels.

Remove the 24-pin power cable from connector PW1 on the motherboard.

Remove the 8-pin power cables from connectors PW2 and PW3 on the motherboard.

Remove the SATA power cables from the hard disk drives.

Detach the SATA power cable from the power connector of the dual cable for the DVD drive.

Detach the 8-pin power cable from the connector from the Fiery QuickTouch.

Remove any tie wraps securing the power cables to the chassis.

Place the E-85A in the upright position.

Remove the motherboard from the chassis (see page 62 ).

Remove the four connector panel screws that secure the power supply to the back of the chassis (see Figure 40 ).
Caution:
Do not open the power supply for service or troubleshooting purposes. Opening the power supply will void
the warranty.
