Illumination Setting
Setting the lighting pattern for the multi-indicator
Set whether to light the multi-indicator or not when there are the latest information such as
missed calls or unread messages. It also sets the lighting pattern for the multi-indicator while on
the call or receiving the call/message, playing back the melody or opening/closing FOMA
terminal.

to make the multi-indicator to blink by the pattern at the cursor position. Note that the
multi-indicator does not blink when “Sync melody” or “OFF” is selected.

If Incoming setting for Incoming Chat Mail Setting is set to “Sync msg alert”, the message that
“Chat mail receipt” cannot be set is displayed.

INFORMATION
● If there are multiple newly-arrived information, the multi-indicator blinks in the following priority when the
new arrival notification is set to “ON”.
a Missed calls (Phone/Video-phone/Answer Machine)
b
Unread Messages (Mail/Chat Mail/Short Messages(SMS)/Message R/F)
● If there have been no newly-arrived information for about 10 hours (about 13 hours for only missed calls)
since there was the first newly-arrived information or marks ( ) that indicate the number of
newly-arrived information on the display are deleted, the multi-indicator stops to blink even when the
information are not confirmed while the new arrival notification is set to “ON”.
● Even if “Sync melody” is set for Lighting pattern, it may not be synchronized depending on the melodies.
● If “Movie ringtone” or “OFF” has been set as ring tones, the multi-indicator blinks by the default settings
even when the blinking pattern is set to “Sync melody”.

When a call or mail is received from a party recorded in the FOMA terminal phonebook, the operation
depends on the FOMA terminal phonebook setting.

If “ON” is set, the multi-indicator blinks two times every about 13
seconds when there is a missed call (Phone/Video-phone/Answer
Machine) or once every about 10 seconds when there is unread
information (Mail/Chat Mail/Short Message (SMS)/Message R/F). If the
new arrival information is confirmed, the multi-indicator stops to blink.

If “OFF” is set, the multi-indicator does not blink for the new arrival
information.
