Syntax Description
Defaults
These are the default settings:
reauth-period
is 3600 seconds.
quiet-period
is 60 seconds.
tx-period
is 5 seconds.
supp-timeout
is 30 seconds.
server-timeout
is 30 seconds.
rate-limit
is 1 second.

quiet-period
seconds
Number of seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state following a
failed authentication exchange with the client. The range is 1 to 65535.
ratelimit-period
seconds
Number of seconds that the switch ignores Extensible Authentication
Protocol over LAN (EAPOL) packets from clients that have been
successfully authenticated during this duration. The range is 1 to 65535.

Set the number of seconds between re-authentication attempts.
The keywords have these meanings:

seconds
—Sets the number of seconds from 1 to 65535; the default is
3600 seconds.
•
server
—Sets the number of seconds as the value of the
Session-Timeout RADIUS attribute (Attribute[27]).
server-timeout
seconds
Number of seconds that the switch waits for the retransmission of packets
by the switch to the authentication server. The range is 30 to 65535.
supp-timeout
seconds
Number of seconds that the switch waits for the retransmission of packets
by the switch to the IEEE 802.1x client. The range is 30 to 65535.
tx-period
seconds
Number of seconds that the switch waits for a response to an
EAP-request/identity frame from the client before retransmitting the
request. The range is 1 to 65535.
