dot1x reauthentication
Use the
dot1x reauthentication
interface configuration command on the switch stack or on a standalone
switch to enable periodic re-authentication of the client. Use the
no
form of this command to return to
the default setting.
dot1x reauthentication
no dot1x reauthentication
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults
Periodic re-authentication is disabled.

You configure the amount of time between periodic re-authentication attempts by using the
dot1x
timeout reauth-period
interface configuration command.
Examples
This example shows how to disable periodic re-authentication of the client:
Switch(config-if)#
no dot1x reauthentication
This example shows how to enable periodic re-authentication and to set the number of seconds between
re-authentication attempts to 4000 seconds:
Switch(config-if)#
dot1x reauthentication
Switch(config-if)#
dot1x timeout reauth-period 4000
You can verify your settings by entering the
show dot1x
[

privileged EXEC
command.
