INFORMATION

Make sure that the O-ring stays in place.

Loosen the screws and disconnect the backup heater wiring from the wire
terminals in the switch box.

Remove the screw and disconnect the ground wire from the switch box.

Guide the backup heater wiring and ground wire through the grommet in the
switch box.

Cut all tie straps that fix the backup heater wiring.

Remove the backup heater from the unit.

To install the backup heater, see

"Repair procedures"

To install the backup heater

Install the backup heater in the correct location.

NOTICE

Check the condition of the O-rings and replace if needed. Apply water or silicon
grease to the O-rings before installation.

Install the lower backup heater coupling and install the clip.
