Caution
■
Do not use this feature on any other computer than the
server, or on any other server obtained without a Express-
Builder. Doing so may cause a failure of the server.
■
Select "Maintenance Tools (Redirection mode)" for the
remote console in the "Boot Selection" menu.
■
The system may fail to operate with a transfer rate of 115.2
Kbps for serial console redirection. Specify a transfer rate
different than 115.2 Kbps.
Starting
Use one of the following two methods to start the server.
■
Run the Maintenance Tools from the management PC via the LAN.
■
Run the Maintenance Tools from the management PC via a direct connection
(COM2)
Caution
Do not change the boot device order in the BOOT menu of the
BIOS SETUP. ExpressBuilder cannot be used if the optical disc
drive is not the first device specified in the boot order.
